PRINCIPAL'S REPORT
As the weather improves our grounds are looking lovely. A big thank you to Danny Matthews for mowing our lawns and tending to our other garden needs. The spring season is certainly keeping him busy!
Public Speaking
Last week, Star Maglinte represented St Mary’s in the Year 5 division of the Western Region Public Speaking Competition. She spoke with confidence, expression and held a commanding presence on the topic: It’s Complicated. The speech was perfectly polished and timed to 2:58 minutes. Perfect for a 3 minute time limit! With a statewide lockdown, remote learning and school holidays impacting on the organization of the competition, the standard across the region was superb. Star’s journey in the competition finished here, but we are so very proud of her efforts. Congratulations Star on an excellent presentation!
Uniform
As the weather improves please start using the summer uniform for your child/ren. Our uniform shop is set up with new and second hand items for your convenience. Contact Tracee Holland via phone or email (Thursdays and Fridays) for any support required with uniform. Parents may still have their $50 voucher to use in the uniform shop if they haven’t already used it.
COVID Fee Relief
On a final note I would like to remind parents that if their family income has been impacted by COVID then you may be entitled to School Fee support. Please contact me to discuss if you would like further information. Catholic Education school Fees Policy states that No student will be denied a Catholic Education because of a family’s inability (not unwillingness) to pay school fees.
Have a lovely week everyone.
