Ballarat Excursion

I would like to congratulate our Stage Three students for their outstanding behaviour on our excursion to Ballarat and Bendigo. There were plenty of highlights for students and staff, however, for me, seeing our students engaging positively with one another and the people around them is evidence of their growing confidence and maturity. Congratulations Stage Three!

Kirra Pendergast - Safe on Social 

As mentioned last week, on Thursday December 5, Kirra Pendergast from Safe on Social, will be presenting to schools in the Western Region. Due to the clash with our Christmas Carols (which now commences at 6pm), we will try to organise this parent session to be recorded and host an evening/share the session so that parents and carers don’t miss out on this opportunity.

Students will still participate in the student sessions with their teachers, at the below times:

Stage 2 students @ 10am (1 hour)

Stage 3 students @ 12pm (1 hour)

School Reports

At the end Week 9 (Friday 13th December), student reports will be sent home via the Compass portal. Parents will be given the opportunity to meet with staff members to discuss these reports in the following week. Due to the fact that this will only be a one day allocation and there will be a limited amount of times available, please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s teacher and organise a meeting if you require a different timeslot.

Enjoy the rest of your week. I encourage families to take some time to appreciate the highlights of a busy term (whether it be learning or extracurricular opportunities) - we have much to be grateful for. Your continued support, dedication, and partnership is integral to what makes St. Mary’s such a special place for our students to learn and grow.
