ST MARY’S SWIMMING PROGRAM 2020
The 2020 Swimming Program will commence for students in Years K-6 next Monday. Lessons will be conducted in water confidence, stroke development and water safety as per our PDHPE Curriculum.
Each child will participate in a total of 7 lessons and 1 Pool Celebration Day. On the first day students will complete the proficiency test as required by authorities.
Lesson Dates
Monday 30 November 1.15 -2.15pm each day.
Tuesday 1 December
No lesson on Wednesday
Thursday 3 December
Friday 4 December
Monday 7 December

No lesson on Wednesday
Thursday 10 December
All students will walk to the pool at 1:00pm
K/1 will bus back to school.
Yr 2-6 will walk back to school.

Friday 11 December 10am to 2:00pm.
All students will walk to the pool at 10am
K/1 will bus back to school.
Yr 2-6 will walk back to school.

Ms Megan Gould is a Qualified Aust Swim teacher and will coordinate the program for us this year.
There is no cost to the program.
Mr Worrick Shaw has kindly offered to transport the K/1 children back to school by bus each day. We are extremely grateful to him for this very generous offer each year.
What Students Need:
The children will need their swimmers, towel and sunscreen each day placed in a bag. Swimmers will be changed into and out of before and after their lesson each day. Please ensure students do not wear their swimmers to school.
Students are permitted to wear thongs to and from swimming lessons.
Students are also asked to supply their own sunscreen for lessons please.
EVERY student will require a rashie or T-Shirt to enable them to participate safely.
Please note: NO RASHIE/T-SHIRT-NO SWIMMING LESSON
Could parents/carers also please ensure ALL articles of clothing are clearly labeled, including shoes, underwear, swimmers and towel and of course, their hat.
