BUILDING RESILIENT FAMILIES
Council recognises that there will be a mental health cost of this COVIS-19 pandemic especially while people are still recovering and healing from the bushfires. In recognising this, Snowy Valleys Council has partnered with Quest for Life to host a free online workshop to provide recovery strategies to build individual and community resilience.
Quest’s nationally acclaimed workshops enable people to regain a sense of control over their lives and actively participate in their own wellbeing. Participants are educated on research into neuroplasticity, epigenetics, meditation, mindfulness and healthy lifestyle factors including nutrition, sleep and exercise.
The Building Resilient Families online workshop provides practical self-help techniques and strategies that complement and support people's daily challenges including those who may be struggling to adapt to working from home with the kids.
This workshop would be beneficial for anyone in our community (including Educators) who would like to learn better strategies in dealing with stress. In particular this workshop would provide benefit to parents of your students.
This workshop will be free for all participants & will take place on Thursday 7 May 2020 from 9.30am to 1.30pm.
For information about the workshop and to register online, go to: www.questforlife.com.au/programs-online/building-resilient-families-during-challenging-times or call Quest on 1300 941 488.
