Why is May the month of Mary?

The tradition dates back to the early church and honours the faith of Mary with the action of the Holy Spirit. The Church loves to pray in communion with the Virgin Mary to magnify the great things the Lord has done for her.

Many families pray the Rosary each evening throughout the month of May.
