YEAR 4/5/6 STEM
During our Science lessons over the past few weeks we have been developing our teamwork skills through STEM activities. Students were separated into teams and given only ten pieces of A4 paper, scissors, masking tape and coloured pencils and needed to create a bridge that was strong enough to hold five novels from within the classroom. Students had time to plan their designed and some develop an action plan. They then had a number of in-depth conversation about what they thought would be the best strategy before constructing their bridges. This activity promoted team building as well as critical thinking while enjoying the hand-on components of Science.
