PRINCIPAL'S REPORT
Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome to Week 6! This week the new NSW guidelines for schools regarding COVID 19 are fully in place. Students, and staff, who are experiencing cold/flu like symptoms are to stay at home and seek a COVID 19 test. A negative test result is to be registered in the front office upon the return to school. Please assist us in adhering to the guidelines by notifying us promptly as to the reason for student absences so that we can confidently safeguard all students and staff.
Unfortunately, the new guidelines have resulted in the cancellation of the African Drumming workshops and our Community Council Trivia Night. It is hoped that both events will be scheduled for later this year. Our gymnastics program, scheduled for Week 7 to Week 10 this term will proceed as it, fortunately, lies within the guidelines.
On a final note the weather dusted our beautiful town in white last weekend. What a lovely memory to hold onto for a year that has dealt us many hurdles. I saw many photos on social media of our students making snowmen and enjoying their time in the snow. It looked like great fun! The cold weekend was also a gentle reminder that students need to wear their coats to school in winter and be prepared for extreme weather. Please check out the uniform shop for beanies, coats and gloves. Tricia Marsh and Tracee Holland are happy to help.
Have a lovely week everyone.
