K/1/2 have been studying plants and have learnt that plants
need food 
and water to survive. We set up an investigation to 
see celery take 
water up through its stem into the leaves. 
Students were very excited 
to see how the water travelled up
 the stem!

Years 5/6 have been learning about living things and we 
have been 
concentrating on plants. The students did 
marvellous work dissecting 
flowers and labelling each of 
the parts to get a better understanding 
of how seeds are 
made. A special mention to Nace who absolutely nailed 
the explanation of pollination after listening intently to a video.
