The 3/4 camp to Borambola was in one word…fantastic!

We were blessed with beautiful weather , just ideal for our activties of raft building, mud-run,archery and BMX riding.

The raft building  required the kids to work in a group and then have the challenge of seeing whether it floated. This meant getting into the pool which was lovely as it was a very warm afternoon. This was followed by the mud-run which was a series of very gloopy, muddy (stinky even!) mud ponds and various other obstacles to get around. They had an outdoor shower to wash off the mud and then a proper soapy shower to be really clean.

After dinner we joined with the big school (90+ kids) from Cobram and had a games night. Dead Ant and Finger fencing were new games we learnt.

Tuesday morning after a big brekkie we had a go at archery and I must say there were some good eyes getting the arrows very close to the target. We then did BMX riding after listening to some good safety advice from Matt our leader. Some kids even tried the pump track.

What a great couple of days with an awesome group of kids. (We missed you Kayden). Our leader, Matt, was a cheerful and happy person and we will remember him having his music on ALL the time!

Thank you to the 3/4 parents for entrusting Mrs Ferguson and I with your children. Thank you also to Worrick and Anthony Shaw for the bus transport there and back, and Mrs Ferguson for carrying our luggage and being chief photographer.
