SNOWY VALLEYS COMMUNITY FORUM
Weathering the Dry in Snowy Valleys – Community Forum
This free community forum is focused on building strength and collaboration in the face of drier times. Led by Jingellic local, Mary Hoodless, the forum will explore how communities can adapt to changing conditions, highlight local opportunities, and tap into the region’s unique strengths.
Who's it for?
This forum is for everyone: whether you’re farming, running a business, or living in town, drier times impact us all. It's a chance for the community to come together, build knowledge, share ideas, and take a community-led approach to tackling the challenges and opportunities ahead.
Key topics include:
- Harnessing our strengths: How local industries, culture, and landscapes can safeguard against impacts
- Adapting to change: A look at the history of drier conditions in the region and how we’re evolving to thrive
- Supporting community wellbeing: Mental health, connection, and supporting one another
- Workshop to explore early insights data from the regional well-being survey, understanding community opportunities and challenges, and what is within our control to direct change
