FROM THE REC
"Never see a need without doing something about it." Mary MacKillop
On Thursday this week we celebrate the Feast of St. Mary MacKillop also called St. Mary of the Cross.
She was a wonderful woman who gave her life to God and to people in need and was declared Australia's first saint on the 17th October 2010 by Pope Benedict XVl.
There is a beautiful hymn 'There is a Quiet' written by Peter Kearney that encapsulates what Mary MacKillop's life was about. If you would like to listen to it go to peterkearney.bandcamp.com
We will join as a community next Thursday 15th August for Mass for The Assumption of Mary at 12:00. You are all warmly invited.
The children's Mass on Sunday 1st September is Father's Day. I am asking if you would send photos of dads, poppys, uncles, carers any men who may be special in your family to the school email address. office.stmarysbatlow@cg.cathoic.edu.au
They will be a part of a slide show for this Mass.
