Dear Parents,
The weather is getting colder and the autumn trees in Batlow are looking spectacular. This is a timely reminder that all students should now be in full winter school uniform. Please check that girls are in winter tunics/skirts/slacks and boys are in long grey pants. Names on jumpers are really helpful to us, so please take a moment to check the tags in jumpers and in coats.
NAPLAN
Naplan has been completed for another year. A big thank you to Ms Mercedes Brown for coordinating the online assessments for both grades efficiently. I also congratulate our Year 3 and Year 5 students who managed the important week of assessments with growing confidence. Results are usually received by the school at the end of August.
Assembly Friday 20 May 1:00pm to 2:30pm
This Friday afternoon we welcome parents and grandparents into our school for Assembly. It has been so long since we have had this opportunity to gather and we hope all students will have someone from their family there. We want families to know that our doors are fully open again and to take a look at what your children have been doing. The program for assembly is:
- Parents may start arriving at 1:00pm - a BBQ is operating for students and adults.
- 1:45pm- Assembly starts under the COLA.
- 2:15pm- Classes are open for students to show parents their work and our school resources.
Please put your order in for a sausage by this Wednesday for catering purposes please.
Safe on Social Monday 20 June at 6:30pm
Navigating the online environment can be challenging for students, as it can be for adults. We have enlisted the resources of SAFE on SOCIAL to do an online presentation for parents on Monday 20 June. The presentation comes highly recommended to us and is designed to give parents information to guide their children to be safe online. More reminders will be given in the lead up to this date.
Have a lovely week everyone.
