Principal Retreat
This week I am at a principals meeting with Catholic Education.
This is an annual meeting which includes principals from all 56 schools in our
archdiocese and office staff. Ms Amy Buckmaster is in charge in my absence.
Have lovely week everyone!
Jannine
Welcome to Week 6! We are now in our third week of Lent and the children have observed changes to their prayer spaces and the Church during the Lenten season.
Purple (or violet) is the colour of the Lenten season. Cloths on our prayer tables and the Tabernacle cover in the church are now purple. During Lent, flowers and other decorations are removed from the church as well. During Lent we focus on prayer, almsgiving and fasting.
Students have been referring to their Lenten promises regularly as a gentle reminder.
Prayer
Each morning St Mary’s students and staff begin with prayer.
This is a special way to start our day, our time to connect with God
and set our intentions for a beautiful day at St Mary’s.
I thought I would share our prayer with you this week.
The HOCKEY family are our home cooks tomorrow
Cooking is sold for 50c each at morning tea
Zooper doopers will be sold at lunch time for 50c each
Term 1 fees are now due in full unless making regular installments
A reminder please DON'T USE COMPASS PAY due to fee charges.
Use your unique BSB and REFERENCE number to pay by BPAY.
Please see Tracee at the office Monday, Thursday or Friday
If you need any assistance with fees.
All students with shoulder length hair or below need to have it tied back neatly.
As we have had recent reports of headlice, this is important to help stop the spread
and keep hair out of faces when working and playing.
NETWORK USAGE AND MEDICAL FORMS
Those families who have been sent home medical forms such as Asthma, Anaphylaxis and Allergic reactions also need to return these as soon as possible as they must be updated yearly.
If your child has any medical requirements or needs medication given at school, you need to notify the office and get the required forms to fill out.
