With another week complete, I want to take the time to acknowledge the effort from our school staff for all that they are doing to support our students. Working in schools (whether it be teaching, working as a CSA or in the front office) is a complex and challenging vocation that is also highly rewarding. I am really proud of the time and energy that has gone into student learning this term (some of it well outside of hours, at home and over the weekend). It is greatly appreciated.
School Mass
As mentioned last week, and in Mrs Dumbrell’s column this week, we have our School Mass this Sunday at 5pm. This is a great opportunity for us to once again gather as a community. Thank you to those families that have indicated that they will be attending. We look forward to seeing you there!
Batlow Show
We are so proud of the student learning that has been done as part of our show display. We hope that families get the chance to come down and support the Batlow Show, but also to view the amazing work of our students. Well done team!
Inquiry into Foundational and Disability supports (NSW)
A NSW Parliament select committee has been established to inquire into and report on child development, early childhood intervention services, and other foundational and disability supports available for children and young people with developmental concerns, delays, differences or disabilities in NSW.
As part of the inquiry, the committee is seeking online submissions from NSW residents through a questionnaire. Please locate the link below for parents and carers who may be interested in making a submission.

This Sunday we will celebrate Mass with the Batlow Parish. All students and their families are welcome to attend this Mass as it is a great way to connect with our Batlow Parish community. Many of our students have volunteered to be involved which is wonderful! Please bring a plate of food to share after Mass with the Parish if you would like to stay for supper.
This week is the Third week of Lent. The focus this week is Peace. In the current world climate I think this is a fitting theme! I would like to offer a prayer for peace this week.
A Prayer for Peace
Lord Jesus Christ,
You are the true King of peace.
In You alone is found freedom.
Please free our world from conflict.
Bring unity to troubled nations.
Let Your glorious peace reign in every heart.
Dispel all darkness and evil.
Protect the dignity of every human life.
Replace hatred with Your love.
Give wisdom to world leaders.
Free them from selfish ambition.
Eliminate all violence and war.
Glorious Virgin Mary,
Saint Michael the Archangel,
Every angel and saint:
Please pray for peace.
Pray for unity amongst nations.
Pray for unity amongst all people.
Pray for the most vulnerable.
Pray for those suffering.
Pray for the fearful.
Pray for those most in need.
Pray for us all.
Jesus, Son of the Living God, have mercy on us.
Jesus, hear our prayers.
Jesus, I trust in You!
Amen.
