For just as each of us has one body with many members... so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” – Romans 12:4–5
Recently, I was in conversation with a colleague who spoke about the change in the weather, the busyness of people’s lives and the challenge of authentically engaging all members of the school community in achieving a common purpose…for St Mary’s, our purpose is our School Vision: St Mary’s nurtures, educates and inspires students to learn with confidence and lead with compassion.
I was reminded by this person of the above scripture and of the strength found in unity and teamwork. Not only collectively (staff/carers/students) but within each of these cohorts too. As we move through this busy part of the term, let’s continue to support one another and encourage our students to stay engaged, act with kindness, and contribute positively to our school community. Ensuring that despite being many members, we have one common, shared purpose.
We are very proud of the effort so far!
Athletics Carnival Update
Thank you for your patience and understanding over the past few weeks as we’ve navigated the lead-up to our Athletics Carnival. After the cancellation of both the main carnival and the Field Events Day for Years 2–6, we’re now aiming to hold our carnival this coming Monday, 2nd June.
Previous permissions will still apply. If your child's availability has changed or you need to update your permission, please email me directly or contact the St Mary’s administration team. We’re looking forward to a great day of participation and school spirit!
Point of Contact for Week 6 and Week 7
I will be away for a significant part of Week 6 and Week 7. While I’ll continue to check and respond to emails, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Mrs Dumbrell in my absence, or to your child’s classroom teacher for most matters.
Stage 2 & 3 Camp – Sydney
