Year 3–6 Excursion to Sydney
Yesterday morning, we farewelled our Year 3–6 students as they departed for their Sydney excursion. From all reports, they are thoroughly enjoying the experience and making the most of every opportunity. Students are expected to return around 7pm on Friday—we will keep families updated via Facebook and Compass as needed. A sincere thank you to Mrs Dumbrell, Miss Collins and Matt for the time, energy and preparation that has gone into making this a rich and memorable experience for our students.
Sacramental Celebrations
Congratulations to Mackenzie on receiving the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion last Sunday. It was a joyful occasion for our school and parish community. A special thank you to those who supported Mackenzie in her preparation and participated in our Children’s Mass.
We now look forward to some of our students joining with others from nearby schools to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation next term. If you would like your child to participate in any of the Sacraments, please don’t hesitate to contact Mrs Dumbrell for more information.
Western Region Athletics Success
Congratulations to Phillip on placing 2nd in the Senior 800m at the Western Region Athletics Carnival held in Young last week. Phillip will now go on to represent the Western Region at the Archdiocesan Carnival in August next term—what a fantastic achievement!
Well done to all our students who participated on the day, and a big thank you to the families who assisted with transport and support.
Parent Teacher Conferences
Next Wednesday, parents will have the opportunity to meet with their child’s teacher. While this is not an expectation, with Semester 1 reports going home on Monday 30th June, we wanted to provide families the chance to discuss their child’s progress and learning in more detail, if needed. A Compass post with these booking times will be sent out tomorrow.
End of Term Reminder
A reminder that the last day of Term 2 for students is Thursday 3rd July. Friday 4th July will be a Pupil Free Day, with staff engaged in professional development. We are very proud of all that our students have achieved this term and encourage them to continue giving their best right through to the final day next Thursday.
