Good afternoon parents and carers,
Welcome back to Term Three ! I hope our students enjoyed a restful break and look forward to the learning that will take place this term.
Kindergarten 2025
Next Monday 29th July at 6pm, we will host a Parent Information Evening for our prospective 2025 Kindergarten students. This will be followed by an Open Day on Wednesday 31st July, from 9am - 11am for the children.
Children will participate in some activities with our 2024 Kindergarten and Year One students. While pick up will be at 11am, parents are also most welcome to tour the school with Mr Forsyth at any time during this Open Day. We will continue to post this information on social media, radio and other forums, however, if families are aware of parents with children of Kindergarten age in 2025, please share this with them.
Stage 2 and Stage 3 Excursions
On Friday, Compass permissions for our Stage Two and Stage Three excursions will go home. These experiences have been significantly subsidised by the school, however, there is still an expense attached, particularly for the Stage 3 excursion to Ballarat. Both excursions require a deposit when permission is being granted, however, families are most welcome to pay the remaining amount off in regular or irregular deposits leading up to the dates. The intention is for all students to attend as the excursion is an important part of a students learning experience and fostering positive relationships with peers.
Compass - Sick Days
Please continue to use our Compass App or phone the office when your child is sick. This supports the school with roll marking and accounting for students who are not at school.
School and Home Connection
Late last term, I reminded families about the positive impact of parents connecting with their child’s learning AND the great benefits that come from regular reading. While I certainly want our parents connected and engaged in more ways than just reading (this term through sharing of learning, Book Week and other school events), I really want to encourage reading to be a regular part of a child’s day. This can be independent reading, reading with or reading to your child. I hope this is something you take up and see the great joys that come with this!
I look forward to seeing families throughout Term Three!
